Bing Surfboards welcomes Lauren Hill
Bing Surfboards is pleased to welcome environmental advocate, writer, and film-maker, Lauren Hill, to our team and family. Lauren is a Florida native, now living in Byron Bay, Australia where she pursues her passion for surfing, environmental science and a “thoughtful engagement with life.” In addition to being the creator of 31 Days / 31 Ways, a short-film series documenting the love and art of wave riding through a multitude of water crafts, Lauren also recently became an ambassador for Roxy. We’re delighted to have this fascinating young lady join our diverse little group and look forward to following along with her adventures! Pic by Nathan Oldfield.com

Raoul @ Sandtrax.
I love the colours in this shot taken by Toby Petley, owner of Oceanstyle Longboards in West OZ of Bing team rider Raoul on his Bing NR Slim. Raoul snuck in a late surf at Sandtrax last week and had it all to himself, makes me want to head over to WA.
They both spent a couple of weeks in Java recently, I'll post of few pics and a little wrap up of their trip soon.

New Bing model, the Speed Square.
Inspired by his fond childhood memories on a Mach-77 boogie board, Bing team rider, Chris Del Moro convinced shaper, Matt Calvani to help him recapture the magic in this modern-day twin-finned version called the Speed Square. Because of its short length, Matt added belly in the nose with a quick transition into a hard, tapered rail in the tail so that the board would be quick and responsive. He added a deep straight concave that runs from where your front foot sits through the tail of the board to gain efficiency in glide and maintained thickness in the tail to improve glide and wave-catching ability. The small twin keels maintain a “fin-less” riding quality but still allowing for some control. Ride it short, ride it fast and get ready for a whole lot of fun!
