So so looking forward to seeing these boards when they arrive.

MINDS IN THE WATER east coast of Australia tour
ABOUT
Pro surfer Dave Rasta Rastovich went from an ocean minded admirer to an ocean activist when he embarked on a personal mission to help stop the worldwide commercial slaughter of dolphins and whales. While unsure at first, Dave quickly found his activist sea legs and helped build a core team of filmmakers, journalists, musicians, eco-pirates, celebrity surfers and even a professional mermaid to help spread the message. All this has been documented in the film, Minds In The Water.
Five years in the making, Minds In The Water is the story of one surfer’s international journey to help protect dolphins, whales and their ocean environment. Through the charismatic journey of one person’s life, witness an adventure spanning the globe from Australia and the Galapagos to Tonga, Alaska and Japan. See first hand how one surfer’s quest to protect dolphins and whales has blossomed into a movement of like minds. The film captures a key moment in one person’s life when apathy is no longer an option.
The message of the film is two fold: The power of one individual to inspire people to take action and make a difference and if ocean minded people are to pass on a sustainable culture, then they must become responsible stewards of their coastal environment. Through Rasta's journey, we see one surfer’s quest to activate his community to help protect the ocean and its inhabitants.

9'5" Bing Pork Chop
If you want to surf a Pig you get one from the guys that have been building them since the 60's. Oceanstyle Longboards in West Oz have this amazing 9'5" Bing Pork Chop in stock. The Pork Chop has a little wider nose/middle and narrower in the tail than the Feral Pig and is supposed to be "easier" to ride than the Feral Pig.

Back to Work
It's time to get back to the grid, well sort of. My wife and kids are still on holidays for a little while yet so I'm back part time for now. It's been a great break with some fun waves, spending time with family & friends and eating way too much.
Some exciting things are ahead for 2012 so keep your eyes peeled. GG.

East coast lights-up
We're coming to the end of the best week of surf I've had for at least the past 18 months thanks to Tropical Cyclone Grant that pushed some solid swell along the east coast of Australia.
On Tuesday the wind swung to the south west and the swell was rolling in from the north east. All you had to do was find a suitable southern corner and you'd find heaven.Tuesday started with 6ft+ sets rolling through and by Sunday, the first day of 2012 we had some of the best logging waves I've surfed in my home town of Lake Macquarie. Stoked. GG.

Hello 2012
Just a quick thank you to everyone that supported us through 2011. We look forward to another fun year ahead. After meeting some great new friends during the year, we can't wait to see what 2012 brings us.
A magic finish to the year, with some fun waves, was given to us all on the east coast by Tropical Cyclone Grant. GG.

Bing Trimulux
Available as a square tail or a pintail, this model’s name says it all. This board can be ridden 2” smaller in length then most traditional single fins because of it’s relatively little rocker. Flat on the deck and the bottom with a slight blended concave, Matt keeps this model an 1/8” thinner than most of the Bing models while maintaining the board’s thickness to an eggy 50/50 rail. This gives the board extra glide and turning sensitivity as well as ample noseriding ability for it’s size. The surfer who chooses this model will get a whole lot of performance without a whole lot of board!
We've now got the Trimulux in stock in 9'2", 9'4" and 9'6". Looking forward to getting our 9'4" demo to share around.
Almond Cash-Yewwwww
The Cash-Yew is essentially a scaled-down Log Rhythm, that has been foiled into a flat, responsive midlength. Perfect for getting head dips on peaky, chest-high days. We gave the Cash-Yew some edge in the tail, so it pushes through cutbacks like a shorter board. The weight and flatter rocker make this thing a dream for getting into waves early and trimming around sections. A summer-time favorite of Dave.
Singlefin box comes standard.Recommended between 7'6 and 8'415.75 x 21 x 15 x 2 7/8

The new family/work wagon
Seemed to take forever too arrive but it's finally here. Still need to upgrade the suspension and a few small changes, otherwise it's all go. I was planning to have it as my daily driver but it's turned out to have a 383 stroked 350 small block, roller cam, etc, etc. Might need to buy shares in Caltex haha.

Jack
The surf has been pretty ordinary this week so I've found a couple pics of local Bing team rider Jack Norton getting a few waves earlier in the year. The top snap was at Catho on his Bing Trimulux and the bottom one's at a reliable little bank that was hanging around Blackies this winter on his Bing Elevator.

Bing Trimulux
Aussie Bing team rider Jack Norton has been riding his Trimulux the past couple of months and has given it the thumbs up. We've now got a 9'2" and a 9'6" on their way over.

9'7" Cy's Aquatic Almond.
Dave and the guys at Almond have built us another board for OZ, a 9'7" Cy's Aquatic Almond. All the Cy models have sold before they've landed here so if you're interested you'd better put your name on it.
As seen in the film “Stoked and Broke” This is the board we developed with Cyrus Sutton for surfing Cardiff Reef. The outline is extra wide for stability and planning through sections. This pintail has a slightly tucked rail for lively turns. Step in the deck to keep it lean and mean on the nose.
Singlefin box or glass-on “Pin” fin by Gully comes standard.
Recommended between 9’2 and 9’8 18.75 x 23.5 x 16.5 x 3
